Wednesday, December 24, 2014. AARON HUMES Reporting: Christmas Day is usually spent with family, but Boxing Day, celebrated on December 26, does not carry as much tradition.
The Days of Healing Committee led by Perry “Sticks” Smith wants to bring residents of the Jane Usher Boulevard together for a community celebration.
There will be the usual free food and activities for children and adults including a basketball and marbles competition.
Smith would like to thank Reginald Jex of Jex Trophies in the United States for donating trophies for the activity.
Also donating were NICH and William Usher of Belmopan who donated rice from his company.
Co-organizers include the Jane Usher Neighborhood Association, Days of Healing Committee and the “Baby Zinc”.
The program begins at 9:00 a.m.
For those wishing to contribute, contact Smith at 601-2342, or the Jane Usher Neighborhood Association at 660-1042.
