Traffic accident reported on the Southern Highway

Wednesday, December 24, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: There are reports of an early morning road traffic accident on the Southern Highway.

According to reports received, three people were taken to the Southern Regional hospital.

The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

Information received say that the incident happened sometime after 5 am today and involved a Ford Ranger pickup truck which was seen overturned in front of the George Town Technical High School compound.

Police were at the scene of the accident and more details should be available later today.

In other traffic related information from the south, reports say that a passenger bus was hit by a dump truck while in the process of overtaking on the Placencia road.

There are no reports of injuries in this incident.
