Sunday, December 28, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: Police in Dangriga town are investigating the weekend murder of a 72 year old man.

The murder victim has been identified as Felix Castillo Carranza.

The official police report says that Carranza, a Honduran national, was found dead inside of a house in the Lakeland area of Dangriga town on Saturday afternoon.

His body had a large cut wound to the throat.

Police say that they recovered Carranza’s body around 4:53 pm on Saturday and there were no signs of forced entry on the building where the body was found.

Police say Carranza was last alive on the night of Boxing Day, December 26.

Police investigations continue.
