Wednesday, December 31, 2014. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: A brutal stabbing murder tonight has left an Orange Walk neighborhood shocked.

The victim has been identified as Miguel “Chino” Medina.

The circumstances of the fatal incident has still not been fully ascertained by police.

But initial information received by Belize Media Group indicates that Medina and another man were socializing inside a small house situated on Fonseca Street, Orange Walk when the stabbing occurred.

Photographs taken at the scene are too graphic for publication, but they show a massive amount of blood inside the building and near piece of sponge on the floor.

BMG understands that Orange Walk police have detained one man pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.

The killing of Miguel Medina is the ninth homicide in Orange Walk for 2014.
