Saturday, January 3, 2015. PATRICK E. JONES Reporting: Weather conditions will improve on Sunday and then an increase in rain will greet the work week.
The general forecast for Belize and her coastal waters is for sunny skies with a few cloudy spells on Sunday.
Winds over the open sea and along the coast will be easterly to southeasterly at ten to twenty knots with occasional higher gusts.
The sea state will be moderate to rough. Operators of small craft should exercise caution in rough seas.
High temperatures on Sunday will range from 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast to 88 degrees Fahrenheit inland. It will be a comfortable 75 degrees Fahrenheit up in the hills.
The tides: there will be a low tide at 3:48 am. This will be followed by a high tide at 10:22 am.
The sun will rise at 6:24 am on Sunday. It will set at 5:31 pm.
The extended forecast, valid through to Monday afternoon is for cloudy skies with some showers and isolated thunderstorms over most areas, especially over the south and coast.
