Saturday, January 10, 2015. BMG: It is a wet weekend moist and unstable conditions will support shower weather heading into the start of the new week.

The general forecast for Belize and her coastal waters is for mostly cloudy skies with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly over southern and coastal areas of the country.

Winds over the open sea and along the coast will be easterly to northeasterly at ten to twenty knots with higher gusts near showers.

The sea state will be moderate but locally rough at times.  Operators of small craft should exercise caution.

Low temperatures tonight will b around seventy two degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; sixty seven degrees Fahrenheit inland and 62 degrees Fahrenheit up in the hills.

High temperatures on Sunday will be around 82 degrees Fahrenheit along coastal areas; 86 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a comfortable 74 degree Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.

The tides:  thee will be a high tide at 1:21 am on Sunday, followed by a low tide at 8:05 am.

The sunrise on Sunday is at 6:26 am.  Sunset is at 5:36 pm.

The extended forecast, valid through to Monday afternoon is for partly cloudy skies with showers becoming generally isolated.
