Saturday, January 17, 2015. BMG: Fair weather is prevailing over our area this weekend.

The general forecast for Belize and her coastal waters is for partly cloudy skies on Sunday with only isolated showers expected.

Winds over the open sea and along the coast will be northerly to north-westerly at five to fifteen knots.

The sea state will be choppy.

Low temperatures at dawn will range from 68 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast to 63 degrees Fahrenheit inland.  It will be a cold 59 degrees Fahrenheit up in the hills.

High temperatures on Sunday will be around 82 degrees Fahrenheit along coastal areas, to 84 degrees Fahrenheit inland.  It will be a comfortable 72 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.

The tides: there will be a low tide at 2:40 am on Sunday. A high tide will follow at 7:21 am and another low tide at 1:52 pm.

The sun will rise at 6:26 am.  It will set at 5:40 pm.

The extended forecast, valid through to Monday afternoon is for generally isolated showers to occur mainly over the coast and in the north.
