Wednesday, January 21, 2015. BMG: For some time now rumours have been circling about what some people thought were plans to turn the historic Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio Town into a car park.

Well, those rumours were put to rest today when the National Sports Council, sent out a short press release announcing that the stadium used primarily for football, quote, “has not been designated or approved to be used as a parking lot.”

The official release says that the National Sports Council remains committed to the development and growth of sports in the country as is evident in the new Sports Policy and Strategic Plan that will shortly go to Cabinet for approval.
