Project completed at Louisiana Government School

Thursday, January 29, 2015. BMG: Bathroom facilities were inaugurated today at the Louisiana Government School in the Orange Walk district.

The bathrooms are part of an overall project to upgrade of the school’s football field, which was done with the assistance of the Belize Natural Energy Charitable Trust and the private sector.

The UDP standard bearer for Orange Walk East Elodio Aragon, Junior was instrumental in getting the facilities upgraded.

The work was carried out in phases, the first being the installment of two bleachers and two dug-outs.

The second phase was the re-wiring of the field for electrical lights and thirdly the installment of the changing rooms and bathroom facilities.

According to Aragon, approximately thirty thousand dollars was invested in the project to enhance the sporting environment for the students, and residents of Orange Walk East.
