Wednesday, February 18, 2015. BMG: The Belmopan Baptist High School is embarking on a bold new initiative … and they need your help to make it happen.
The school is sending a contingent of students to take part in a World English Experience, an initiative which brings together high school students from around the world to immerse themselves in the English Language.
The head of the English department at the Belmopan Baptist High School Ethnelda Paulino today told us more about how the institution got involved.
A total of twelve students from the Belmopan Baptist High School have been chosen to travel to London England next month to be a part of the exchange.
The students were chosen based on the academic performance and their behavior.
Today they told us that they are excited to have been chosen to take part in the program.
Social Studies teacher at the Belmopan Baptist High School Knuwane Martinez says both the students and the school stand to benefit from the children’s participation in the World English Experience program.
Martinez says the school is in the middle of fundraising to make the trip possible for the group of students.
And she is appealing to the general public for help in making the trip possible.
Anyone wishing to assist the Belmopan Baptist High School in getting the students to London for the World English Experience is asked to call the Belmopan Baptist High School at telephone number 822-2437 or 605-8455. Contributions can also be made online at: http://Gofundme.com/kyoz2c
