Monday, February 23, 2015. GWEN NUNEZ GONZALEZ Reporting: The Language Department at Our Lady of Guadalupe High School held its first Spanish Spelling Bee on Friday, February 20th,to encourage the learning of Spanish in a fun way.
The exciting competition had the participation of seven champion spellers, who made history as the first competitors in the first contest.
At the end of all the excitement Kimone Zuniga received the glory as the Champion Speller followed by Isabel Brenes in second place and Janae Rivas third.
Consolation prizes went to Kevin Garcia, Paul Flowers, Sherman Matute and Logan Ham.
The organizers express gratitude to Atlantic Bank, Belize Bank, PC.Com, A+ Solutions, First Choice Variety Store, BUCA and Garbutt Gas Station for the support to ensure that the students received wonderful prizes.
