Thursday, February 26, 2015. BMG: Members of the vector Control Unit in Corozal Town, today visited with residents of San Victor and San Narciso villages in the Corozal District.
The purpose of the visit was the share information with residents on how to prevent mosquito-borne dengue fever in their communities.
Accompanying the local Vector Control Unit in Corozal were their colleagues from the Secretaria de Salud in Chetumal Quintana Roo, Mexico.
Aside from sharing information on dengue prevention, the visiting health personnel also shared with school children the importance of hand washing in the overall maintenance of good health.
Similar visits by the Vector Control Unit personnel are also schedule for other areas in the Corozal district.
