Minister of Education Patrick Faber says it is important that the use of technology be adopted to bridge gaps in the learning process, making it easier for both the students and teachers.
President of the Student Government at the Toledo campus of the University of Belize Fidel Kuk says that the tablets will come in handy for many of the students as the computer lab on campus is currently not functioning.
The distribution of the tablets by government started last week in Belmopan.
