Tuesday, March 3, 2015. BMG: A Belize City businessman who was the victim of a burglary was able to subdue the alleged thief and hand him over to police.

Thirty four year old Cleveland May, Jr. has been arrested and charged for the crime of burglary, stemming from an incident on Sunday night.

According to police, May, Jr. was observed entering a restaurant on East Collet Canal in Belize City on Sunday night and going behind the cashier section where he allegedly stole $250 from the cash box.

The manager of the restaurant who observed the burglary on the establishment’s surveillance system, chased down the alleged culprit, subdued him and handed him over to police who arrived on the scene a few minutes later.
