Woman reportedly shot in Corozal

Wednesday, March 4, 2015. BMG: Information received say a woman was injured in a shooting incident in Corozal tonight.

Details are still emerging but we have been able to confirm that the shooting happened in the Santa Rita area of Corozal

We’re following up on this information and will have an update as soon as information is confirmed.

UPDATE: A police source in Corozal has confirmed that shots were fired but no one was injured by any of those shots.

It appears from the preliminary reports, that three men entered a store in the Santa Rita area to rob the establishment.

An employee of the store was assaulted with a firearm and a customer who was in the shop was also threatened.
