Armed robber injures three people in Corozal

Thursday, March 5, 2015. BMG: Three persons were injured in an armed robbery last night in Corozal town.

The victims are identified as 39 year old Liming Li; 41 year old Wu Hong Choa and 55 year old Victoriano Poot.

According to police reports, around 7:30 pm on Wednesday three masked men, one of whom carried a firearm, held up and robbed Fry Store located on Santa Rita Road.

Proprietors Wu Hong Choa and Liming Li and a customer who was inside the shop at the time Victoriano Poot were all hit in the head with the butt of the firearm.

Previously we had reported that the incident was a shooting; but the official police report makes no mention of a shooting incident and so we have revised our earlier report.

Investigations continue.
