Friday, March 6, 2015. BMG: Police in Belmopan are investigating the overnight murder of a man from Camalote village.

Thirty year old Elroy Ramirez was shot around 8:35 pm last night as he stood inside of a yard in the Another World area of Roaring Creek.

Police say that as Ramirez stood beside a pickup truck in the yard, a man of dark complexion approached and fired a single shot, injuring him.

When police visited the Western Regional Hospital just after 9 pm, they observed Ramirez suffering from multiple pellet wounds to his body.

Police say that Ramirez succumbed to his injuries at about 10:42 pm.  Police investigations continue.
