Principals in the Belmopan Area Met to Plan Festival of Arts 2015

Thursday, March 12, 2015. GWEN NUNEZ GONZALEZ Reporting: Principals in the Belmopan Area Schools met today, March 12th, at Garden City Primary School to prepare for the Annual Festival of Arts, which is slated for April 13th – 17th.

The schools are divided into 4 clusters for the administration of the performing arts portion of the festival.

Teachers training

One of the major activity leading up to the festival will be a BBQ Fundraising in April.

The children are not judged for their participation but the Adjudicators assigned points based on specific criteria per item and students then receive gold, silver or bronze certificates.

Belmopan teachers training

Two additional categories of the Expressive Arts will be added in the Belmopan Area.

They are: Creative Writing Component and the Arts and Craft Displays.

The festival kicks off with mounting of the Arts and Craft at the NICH Building followed by official ceremonies at 1:30 p.m. on the NICH Grounds.
