Fatal hit-and-run incident on the Southern Highway

Monday, March 30, 2015. BMG: Police are reporting the death of a man in what looks to be a hit-and-run accident on the Southern Highway.

The victim has been identified as 31 year old Sylvestre Bah, a resident of Santa Cruz village in the Stann Creek district.

Police say that around 9:25 pm on Saturday they went to an area between miles 23 and 24 o the Southern Highway where they found Bah’s body with severe head and body injuries.

Police say they found a beach cruiser bicycle near to his body.

Initial police investigation reveals that Bah left home around 2:30 pm on Saturday on his bicycle and that was the last time he was seen alive.

Police investigations continue.
