Jaime Chavarria murdered in Belize City

Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Aaron Humes Reporting: Belize City police are investigating the late night shooting of 26 year old West Canal resident Jaime Emmanuel Chavarria, who was shot three times to the head and back while he walked through a dark unnamed alley off Berkeley Street around 7:10 Monday night.

Police say Chavarria, whose girlfriend lived not far from the scene, was a recent shooting victim and had ties to the area but are not clear as to why he was targeted this time. He was on his way to buy when his assailant or assailants accosted him. Police have not established a motive and continue their investigations.
