Hottest day of 2015 might be today

Tuesday, April 28^th, 2015. BMG: The heat is on! Over the past few days the temperature has been way in the high 90’s reaching a maximum of 102 degrees today.

The National Meteorological Service of Belize is predicting a hot and hazy afternoon today with a chance of isolated thunderstorm inland.

The 24 hour forecast is indicating that tonight and tomorrow morning isolated showers are expected mostly inland and in the north.

High Temperatures for today are as follows:

• In the Coast 93 degrees F, inland a sizzling 102 degrees F and in the Hills 84 degrees F
• Temperatures for tonight in the coast, 78 degrees F, Inland 72 and in the Hills 68

A high tide is expected at 6:28pm and a low tide at 1:03am tomorrow morning.

Winds blow from East to Northeast 5 to 15 knots and the sea state remains light chop to choppy.

The outlook is for a few showers and thunderstorms over the north and inland during Wednesday afternoon and then along the coast and in the south later Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
