Belize receives Find A Way award at 4th International Road Federation Congress in Jamaica

Wednesday, May 6^th, 2015. BMG: A Belize delegation participated in the 4th International Road Federation Caribbean Congress which began on Monday and ended today in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The congress was officially opened by Jamaica’s Minister Designate and Director of Latin America and Caribbean Affairs for the International Road Federation (IRF), Esteban Salinas.  Today, Ms. Yvonne S. Hyde, CEO in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development was presented with the Find-A-Way Award.

The award was presented to the Belize delegation for the Belize Road Safety Initiative and in recognition of their commitment towards meeting the United Nations Decade of Action goal of reducing global road traffic fatalities by 2020. The Belize group was financed by the Caribbean Development Bank.
