Schools from rural Belize District took the top three places, with first place going to Ocean Academy of Caye Caulker. The team of students shared a thousand-dollar prize.
Belize Rural High School was second and Ladyville Technical, the defending champion, came third. The students were asked to design a project to reduce youth unemployment in Belize City with the support of mentors from PWC and Peace works and present it to a panel of judges at the ITVET in Belize City on Wednesday during the Community Business Fair.
The main focus of the fair was to promote financial literacy and work force preparedness in youths.
