Education Minister says Petrocaribe will fund summer sports initiative

Thursday, May7th, 2015. BMG: Since the inception of the Petrocaribe Program, it has been met with much criticism and praise from all sides of the public domain. One thing is for sure, the program has brought an unprecedented level of infrastructural works across the country and to date, and those works are still on-going.

To add to its validity, the Ministry of Education Patrick Faber says that this summer, PetroCaribe funding will be keeping the youths gainfully occupied by paying for summer programs.

Faber says that the Prime Minister will announce shortly the “PetroCaribe summer of sports”, an initiative which will be funded through PetroCaribe funds and coordinators of summer programs from every district will be able to apply for funding to better conduct their programs over the summer months.
