Monday, May 11th, 2015. BMG: The 2015 Coca Cola Spelling Bee District Finals have come to an end and 3 winners have been chosen from each district to participate in the National Bee Finals slated for on June 5th in Corozal Town.
This year the event will be held at the Corozal Community Auditorium where 18 of these primary school top spellers will have a chance to take home the coveted trophy and prizes for their respective schools.
The best three spellers from each district are:
Toledo– 1st Place -Lavern Coe, Toledo Christian Academy 2nd Place – Gavino Teul, 3rd Place – Japhet Chaic, Cirque Jute Government.
Stann Creek – 1st Place – Adrianne Young, Shiloh SDA, Independence, 2nd Place – Santiago chub, Our Lady of Bella Vista, 3rd Place – Adriana Lima, Holy Angels R.C., Pomona.
Belize – 1st Place – Shandel Parham, St Ignatius Primary, 2nd Place – Elias Zetina, New Horizon SDA (San Pedro), 3rd Place – Shaheda McClaren, St. Mary’s Anglican.
Cayo – 1st Place – Benita Caal, Kuxlin Ha Government 2nd Place – Laura Menendez, Buena Vista Government, 3rd Place – Ronan Stewart, Sacred Heart Primary.
Orange Walk – 1st Place – Jafet Munoz – Trial Farm Government, 2nd Place – Aaliyah Leiva, Louisiana Government 3rd Place – Omri Distan, Solomon’s SDA.
Corozal – 1st Place – Aimee Gonzalez, Corozal Nazarene, 2nd Place – Mishtony Castillo, Christiline Gill SDA, 3rd Place – Samuel Quinteros, Santa Clara SDA.
The stage is set for the 2015 National Coca Cola Spelling Bee where these spellers will fiercely compete to be crowned the National Champion. First and Second place winners from each District will compete and third place winners are alternate spellers.
