Corozal House of Culture prepares for International Museum Day

Tuesday, May 12th, 2015. BMG: International Museum Day is observed each year in the month of May, and this yearimage002 it is no exception.

All museums across Belize will be observing and celebrating the occasion on May 18th where all facilities will be housing an exhibition.

According to coordinator at the Corozal House of Culture, Debora Wilkes the highlight of the day will be the unveiling of a Santiago Ricalde bust, donated by Corozal sculptress, Mrs. Vilma Romero.

The bust will be on the permanent exhibition at the House of Culture honouring Corozal’s first Mayor. The invitation to attend the special occasion is being extended to all members of the community and students.

The opening ceremony will commence at 9am.
