Prison officer pleads guilty to possession of controlled drugs

Thursday, June 4^th, 2015: Aaron Humes Reporting: Officer at the Kolbe Foundation Mario Sho was read charges of possession of a controlled substance on Wednesday and pleaded guilty before Magistrate Ladonna John despite claiming he was set up.

The prison officer reported for work on Tuesday night and while being given a routine check fellow officer found 31 grams of cannabis inside his knapsack.

Despite being given an opportunity to change his plea by the Magistrate, who questioned why he was pleading guilty to something he claims he had no knowledge of, Sho, who had no attorney, kept his plea.

Sho must pay a fine of $500 and costs by July 30, 2015, in default six months’ imprisonment.
