Police have no answers on teens’ killing

Wednesday, July 01, 2015. BMG: Two teenage boys were shot in the head last week in Belize City for no apparent reason.

Over the weekend, 15 year old Tyrique Thompson and 16 year old Ruben Leslie succumbed to their injuries. During a police press briefing on Tuesday morning  Supt. Hilberto Romero, O.C., CIB, Belize City Police, reported that there are several angles being looked at but not much progress has been made.

Said the Superintendent, “We are asking the public’s assistance. If they have information, they can call 922-TIPS or come in and give us the information. We are still working on these cases but we have not charged anyone.”

Police continue their own investigations.
