Monday, July 06, 2015. BMG: A traffic accident between miles 81 and 82 on the Phillip Goldson Highway on Sunday, July 5th, injured five persons and left another in critical condition.
The incident occurred around 8:06 p.m when a Silver tracker being driven by 37 year old San Jose Village resident, Lilian Judith Flores, ran off the road and collided into a cement lamppost. Reports are that the driver was enroute from Corozal to San Jose Village in the Orange Walk District.
Since the incident, the passengers have been identified as ; 43 year old Amir Gonzalez, 40 year old Juan Carillo, 18 year old Edson Chuc, 33 year old Teresa Suarez, all residents of San Jose Village.
The passengers received varying degrees of injuries resulting in them being taken to the Corozal Hospital. 27 year old Gallardo Campos, a San Narciso Village resident was the only passenger that had to be transported to the Northern Regional Hospital as he was in critical condition.
Police are currently investigating.
