Monday, July 13, 2015. BMG: A .45mm pistol with one live round of ammunition in its chamber was found by GSU officers who searched an abandoned property on Lewis Street, Belize City over the weekend.
The search was conducted on Saturday, July 11th when officers acting on intelligence, found the gun and ammunition which were labeled as “Found Property” since no one was in the area at the time.
In a separate operation, law enforcers discovered a large amount of cannabis and rounds of live ammunition on an area on Faber’s Road.
A total of 2.1 kilograms of cannabis along with 11 live rounds of 9mm ammunition in separate plastic bags. The drugs and ammunition were marked as “Found Property” since no one was in the area.
