GOB, OAS collaborate on social inclusion project

Wednesday, July 15^th, 2015. BMG: The Government of Belize, specifically the Ministry of Human Development, Social Transformation and Poverty Alleviation, is to sign a cooperation agreement on Thursday morning, July 16, at 9:30 a.m.

The agreement with the Organization of American States (OAS) is for the execution of a three-year social inclusion project which is being financed through the OAS Development Cooperation Fund.

It is expected to greatly assist the Ministry of Human Development to continue the social safety net reforms that started in 2008 and aims to strengthen and expand services to families on the government’s BOOST program.

Minister of Human Development, Social Transformation and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. Anthony Martinez, will sign the agreement tomorrow which will in turn ensure the continuation of the services being provided for underprivileged families.
