Annual summer financial literacy camp

Thursday, July 16^th, 2015. BMG: The love of money is the root of all evil, according to the Bible, but it can also be a source of good.

To control and channel our youngest population’s attitudes toward money, the Ministry of Education and international firms PWC and Peace-works are hosting a series of camps on financial literacy for 800 students in Belize City.

Students attending the camp in Belize City report that they learned how to budget, save wisely, spend carefully and manage their money.

Andrea Fishman of PWC says financial literacy is really the foundation for growth for a lot of these kids, giving them the opportunity to learn more about the foundations of finance, savings.

And helping them learn more about what those opportunities are and how saving now can help them for their future. The camp is child-friendly and geared toward development.
