Man charged for burglary

Monday, July 20^th, 2015. Aaron Humes Reporting: 27 year old Peter Portillo is accused of attempting to get into the residence of Leroy Green, the Ministry of Education’s National Coordinator for Express Arts.

Portillo pleaded not guilty to attempted burglary before Magistrate Ladonna John. Police report that Green’s neighbor saw a man dressed only in a pair of black pants at the back door of Green’s house appearing to tamper with the lock on the door.

He called police, who said they apprehended Portillo at the scene and observed the damaged door lock. Portillo was given bail of $3,000 and told to return to court on September 29.
