Monday, July 20th, 2015. Aaron Humes Reporting: Manuel Jucob, a resident of Lord’s Bank who allegedly attacked his common-law wife with a knife was denied bail when he appeared today before the Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith and was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault and harm.
Jucob was remanded into custody until September 8. The complainant, Angelina Ack, reported to the police that she and Jucob had a misunderstanding and Jucob attacked her with a knife. She also reported that Jucob grabbed her by her shoulder and caused her harm.
Chief magistrate Smith remanded Jucob into custody after the prosecutor objected to bail on the grounds that if granted bail Jucob will interfere with the prosecution witness and by doing so pervert the course of justice.
