Belmopan men chopped

6. chopping(1)Tuesday, July 28th, 2015. BMG: Belmopan police detained one man and are currently looking for four others in connection with a Monday morning chopping incident that left two men badly injured.

24 year old Salvadoran National, Jorge Guevara, a resident of St. Peter Street, Belmopan, along with Clifford Alexander Alvarado, a resident of St. Mathew’s Street, Belmopan, were seen with multiple chop wounds by police officers responding to the incident on Cemetery Road in the Salvapan area.

The men told police that they were attacked by 5 men with machetes around 1:00 a.m while walking in front of the San Martin Primary School. Guevara was chopped to the head, back and face, while Alvarado received chop wounds to his head, left hand, shoulder and left arm.

Police investigation is ongoing.
