Police officer’s vehicle set on fire

Wednesday, August 5^th, 2015. Orange Walk Bureau Reporting: Early this morning, fire officials and police personnel were called to Rio Bravo Street to battle a vehicle fire which was reported.

Upon arrival at the scene around 2:20am, they saw one white KIA Sportage with L/P 18807 engulfed in flames. The vehicle is said to belong to P.C Antony Guzman who is presently stationed in Belize City.

From the scene police also recovered was one small plastic bottle which is suspected to be used to carry fuel to start the fire. Witnesses say that they say two male persons fleeing the area.

No formal report has been made and police are investigating.
