Corozal businesswoman attacked at home

Thursday, August 6^th, 2015. BMG: Cuban businesswoman, 37 year old Yaquelin Morish, residing in Corozal Town, was attacked with a knife last night, August 5, shortly after 10:00 p.m. at her Consejo Road residence.

Morish told police that she heard a banging on her house wall and when she looked outside, she saw a ladder up against the house as if someone was about to climb up.

She then got a machete and proceeded to go down the ladder to investigate, and that is when she was wounded three times by 65 year old Phillip Codd, who was armed with a knife.

Codd, a resident of 5th Avenue, Corozal Town, has been detained for grievous harm.
