PM’s bodyguard suspected of murder

Monday, August 31, 2015. BMG: A police officer has been accused of the murder of Nicaraguan national Eduardo Manuel Perez Sanchez.

Police investigation led to 33 years old Police Corporal Ryon Wagner, bodyguard of Prime Minister Dean Barrow, as the alleged murderer of Sanchez. Wagner has been formally arrested and charged for murder.

The Ministry of National Security and the Commissioner of Police have launched a criminal and internal investigation into this latest incident and have reiterated that they will not condone any wrongdoing by any member of the Belize Police Department.
