Dangriga men charged over gun

Tuesday, September 1, 2015. BMG: Four persons: 23 year old Bernaldo Gorosica Jr., 74 year old Bernaldo Gorosica Sr., 19 year old Jeffrey Gomez, all residents of Dangriga, and 43 year old Harrison Garbutt, a fisherman of Sand Fly Caye, were arrested and charged by Dangriga Police on August 29, for the offenses of “Kept Firearm without a Gun License” and “Kept ammunition without a Gun License”.

The group of men were initially detained by a Coast Guard patrol who handed them over to police at the Dangriga Pier around 7:05 a.m. on the mentioned date.

Along with the men, a .38 Smith and Wesson brand revolver and 13 live rounds of ammunition were handed over to police, who transported them to the Dangriga Police Station and charged them for the offenses.
