Thursday, September 17, 2015. Orange Walk Bureau Reporting: Over 500 students from the Muffles High School participated in their annual symposium under the newly built auditorium.
The symposium which is held just before the Independence Day festivities sees one student from each form level, write a speech surrounding the September Celebration’s theme and present it to the student body.
This year’s symposium featured the theme, “Belize Renewed, Confident, Competitive, and Committed” and we spoke to the Student Government Association president Lizette Gomez who says the goal is to promote patriotism.
Guest speaker for the event was former student, Harsheel Makhijani who was named Personality of the Month by the Teen Belize Organization.
