While on special operations in Esperanza Village, members of the Gang Suppression Unit (GSU) on the strength of a search warrant, visited a house with intent to search for firearms, ammunition and drugs and indeed stumbled upon a small amount of marijuana.
While they were speaking to an occupant of the house, a Geo Prism car stopped in front of the residence and one occupant threw a plastic bag to the ground, placing his foot on top of it to conceal it but officers immediately went to retrieve it.
Inside the bag police found 25.5 grams of marijuana which was shown to the man, 46-year-old Leslie Trapp, who claimed it was not his.
Trapp was taken to the San Ignacio Police Station and charged.
