Double homicide victims identified

Sunday, September 27^th, 2015. BMG: The murder victims found in a cane field in the San Roman area of Corozal have been identified as 58-year-old Vicente Cayuno of San Andres Village and 42-year-old Rogelio Rancharan of Paraiso Village, both in the Corozal District.

Both men were found with gunshot wounds to the head on Friday morning around 10:45 a.m., after a lone gunman emerged from some bushes and opened fire on them and a third male person that was assisting with the fertilizing of cane at the time.

That third person managed to escape uninjured but Cayuno and Rancharan were not so lucky, as their lifeless bodies were taken to the Northern Regional Hospital.

Police continue to investigate the murders.
