$50,000 Vessel goes missing in Caye Caulker

BMG: Yesterday, September 28, a fisheries officer attached to the Caye Caulker Marine Reserve reported to police that sometime between the hours of 10:30 p.m. on September 27 and 6:15 a.m. yesterday morning, a 25-foot fiberglass boat along with its 100 horsepower Yahama engine were stolen from the reserve which is located at the North end of Caye Caulker.

The boat and engine, both property of the Government of Belize, is valued at a total of $50,000 and were last seen by the officer at 10:30 p.m. when he went to check on them. Police are investigating.
