marijuanaWednesday, September 30th, 2015. BMG: Shane Thomas, a 29-year-old resident of Carmen Street in Santa Elena Town, was arrested yesterday evening for the offense of “Possession of a Controlled Drug”, by members of the Gang Suppression Unit (GSU) on special operations.

The operation was originally to search for firearms and ammunition at #13 Carmen Street but officers seized 393 grams or just less than 14 ounces of cannabis from Thomas instead. Upon seeing the officers he ran, throwing a plastic bag into an adjacent lot.

That bag was later retrieved by the officers and opened in the presence of Thomas before he was taken to the police station.
