Three detained for armed robbery at butane station

Tuesday, October 6, 2015.  BMG: Three persons are currently in police custody pending an ongoing investigation into armed robbery in the old capital.

A little after 1:00 p.m. on October 5^th, a pump attendant of Southern Choice Butane Ltd, located at mile four on the Phillip Goldson Highway reported that around earlier that day around 11:00 a.m., while at work talking with the secretary,  two male persons walked into the compound stating that they wanted gas service.

According to the pump attendant one of the male persons then got behind him and held him in a choking position, dragged him inside the office, asked where the money was and locked them both in another room.

Shortly after, both men fled the area taking with them around $6,000.00 and the office cell phone valued at $80.00. They also took the secretary’s cell phone which is a Samsung Galaxy S4 valued at $250.00.
