Wednesday, October 14th, 2015. Chrisbert Garcia Reporting: Two Belize City men were arraigned before a Magistrate in Independence this morning for charges of robbery after they were accused of being responsible for stealing items valued at $3,500 from a Chinese businessman in Hopkins.
The incident occurred on October 5 at around 6:00 p.m., when three male persons entered N&C Restaurant, held the 24 year old businessman at gunpoint and stole two high end cellphones along with an IPad tablet.
All three culprits were detained shortly after the robbery and due to the nature of the offence, considering there was a firearm involved, two of them, Jareth Crawford and Albert Wagner, were denied bail today in court and remanded into prison until their next court date.
Both pleaded not guilty to the charges of robbery. The third culprit is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow morning.
