Moist and unstable conditions persist across the country

Saturday, October 17, 2015. BMG: The National Meteorological Service of Belize is predicting cloudy to overcast skies with some showers, a few thunderstorms and periods of rain mainly over northern areas and some coastal areas. radar

Winds will be blowing from the East at 10 to 20 knots, becoming gusty near showers and thunderstorms. The sea state will be moderate, becoming locally rough at times and a small craft caution is in effect.

High temperatures today are expected around 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 86 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a comfortable 75 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.

A high tide is expected this afternoon at 12:52 p.m. and a low tide this evening at 5:51 p.m.

The Sun will set at 5:30 p.m. this evening.

The extended forecast into tomorrow night calls for continuing cloudy skies with some showers, a few thunderstorms and periods of rain mainly over the North.
