PUP promises “power to the people” in new manifesto

Wednesday, October 21, 2015.  Aaron Humes Reporting: The People’s United Party (PUP) has delivered itsFrancis Fonseca plan of action for the next four years in a manifesto entitled “Power to the People.”

In it, the party promises the following: Create 25,000 jobs; no to the ICJ, NHI rollout, free education, freehold title to first time land owners, reduce the cost of living, reduce GST, appoint 13th Senator, move toward abolition of income tax for working people, affordable housing project-MOHou fully funded; and implement a Governance Reform Agenda in first 100 days of the next administration.

Leader Francis Fonseca said this election is about “the extraordinary Belizeans labouring in the shadows, seeking neither fame nor riches, asking for opportunity to provide.” They will be the heart and soul of the next PUP Government.
