Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Aaron Humes Reporting: Prime Minister Dean Barrow, mostly by choice, has become a focal point of press interviews in the last eight years. It is to him that we turned for the answers to any number of questions touching the politics and government of Belize, and many other issues besides.
Every so often, those showdowns would get testy and confrontational, making for added theatre in the daily news grind. But it was never personal, and so with less than a week possibly remaining in office, the P.M. was sufficiently nostalgic enough to mend fences and offer thanks to the press for our coverage of his two administrations over seven and a half years. While he is anticipating an historic third term in office, Barrow says he will not have a problem if the people decide otherwise.
He maintains that he will be happy to go back to private life if booted out of office, and will leave “smiling” and full of thanks for the opportunity to serve.
