Monday, November 2nd, 2015. Victor Castillo Reporting: As the road to election day has been paved and the polling stations are almost set for the November 4th, general elections, both major political parties in the country hosted respective pre–election rallies over the weekend.
In the north of Belize it was no exception. A little after midday the massive blue and white machinery was seen making its way in a motorcade led by People’s United Party (PUP) Orange Walk South standard bearer Jose Mai, who, with thousands of supporters drove from San Felipe Village to Guinea Grass village where all four PUP standard bearers in Orange Walk town gathered.
Later in the evening, United Democratic Party (UDP) Orange Walk South standard bearer Guadalupe Magaña led her massive motorcade to the Liberty Avenue where all standard bearers for the UDP gathered in front of thousands of supporters.
During the UDP’s pre-election rally, party Leader Dean Barrow addressed the crowd.
Standard bearers for both political parties are:
Orange Walk North – Gaspar Vega (UDP) Ramon Cervantes Jr. (PUP)
Orange Walk Central – Denny Grijalva (UDP) Johnny Briceño (PUP)
Orange Walk South – Guadalupe Magaña (UDP) Jose Abelardo Mai (PUP)
Orange Walk East – Elodio Aragon Jr. (UDP) Josue Carballo (PUP).
